Remember when ‘everyone’ was posting that panel of an Oatmeal comic that was like, ‘We should teach kids how to split a check instead of real math!’ and that was pretty funny? Well —

I don’t visit The Oatmeal often, so I thought that was just like a little onesy of a comic, but then I had occasion to visit today, and saw it was actually a really long comic. With some ok-funny stuff, and one part where he calls you a “retard”, and then this part that’s really misogynistic. Wow, that is misogynistic! As a weird, chubby kid in high school, I think I’m supposed to relate to this. Yet, this is the pander-iest and worst. Being weird and anti-social is not an intrinsically good (or bad) thing, and neither is being pretty. Reinforcing the exhausted stereotype that nerds rule the world and women are pieces of shit (or pieces of plastic covered in shit) is intrinsically bad.

And that’s why I don’t visit The Oatmeal very often.

I can’t support The Oatmeal after his “funny” comic about whores. He hates women.
