i dont know. its a very fine line, and its all about intent, in my opinion. i think recognizing a woman is beautiful is not sexist. i think recognizing that you are moved in a very visceral way is not sexist. sex is natural, and amazing, and i dont think there’s anything wrong with admiring the human form and verbalizing those fantasies
theres a subtle difference between that, and making condescending allusions. stripping the object of its worth. there’s a tangible quality to respect, and i think you can appreciate beauty but when you dont respect the human behind that you are objectifying them.

The whole idea of Boner Party is celebrating all the subtle, magical things about women. It’s not about tits and ass, it’s about what she talks about, how she sees the world, what makes her unique.
If anything, Boner Party is ANTI-sexist.
Oh, well, if you put “anti” in front it… Have you read BP, though? Show me something subtle and magical it says about like an actual woman. There are no actual woman. There’s “Zooey Deschanel,” as imagined by the authors. There’s “women who work at coffee shops,” as imagined by the authors. There’s “midwestern women,” as imagined by the authors. There is nothing representing *actual* women except their pictures. Let me scroll down a little further…oh, here the authors say they wish they had a secretary to do things for them and hilariously misuse the word “homoerotic.” Here they write, “It’s important to note that when a guy sees a really great ass he feels like he’s discovered something special for himself. We guard that ass like a bar we don’t want everyone finding out about.” Here they chastise the women of America for their wardrobes. But since it’s written in this detached ironic tone here, and it talks about a lot of nitpicky specific details they’d prefer to see in women rather than just the types of tits and asses they’d like to see in women, well then it must be ANTI-feminist. I SEE WHY YOU THOUGHT THAT NOW.
I know, I should stop taking things on the internet so seriously, because everyone knows all ideas expressed on the internet are fake the same way all ideas expressed by me while drunk are. But when you go ahead and say specifically that you are NOT objectifying women and are in fact “celebrat[ing]” them, sorry, that shit’s gonna get called down.
