It’s as if just when I think I’ve heard the last, great Cat Power song one more comes screaming through time and justice to hit me in the face. I prefer the Tom Waits-type Cat Power: The kind that makes you want to crawl into a fifth of something brown and burning and not come out until a) it’s all gone; or b) you’re all gone.
