I was looking over your list of your top 100 favorite albums, and noticed that almost everything was from the 90s and 00s. Have you spent much time with music from the 60s - 80s?

UGH. I typed up a long response that didn’t answer your question, so here’s a better answer. No.

I’m not especially fond of the sound of some 60s to 80s music. The Beatles, Dylan, and the Stones could have a big chunk of my list locked up, so I omitted them for the most part. My list (http://bmichael.me/favorite-100-albums) (not necessarily very interesting) reflects my listening habits form when I really got into music, which was in about 1998.

I would love recommendations. So you can see where I’m coming from, my favorite albums from that period right now off the top of my head are: 1999, Axe Victim, Mats’ Let It Be, Here Come The Sonics, S/T VU, S/T Modern Lovers, Pink Flag.

I’d love to learn about some new music.
