Stars - Your Ex-Lover Is Dead
I don’t think I (had) ever listened this song to completion; the title is a little too dramatic for me. I think I’m aware that this song is old in an ish sense. It’s not very good. The lyrics are not cheesy because they lack the semblance of a humorous aspect. The lyrics are for the most part poor. The instrumentation isn’t very interesting. Why is it that blinking lights instantly evoke the sound of playing two notes on a piano over and over? The opening line (prefatory, not even musical!) is likely the best part of the song.
Except for the fact that despite all, nearly every instant of the song sounds as if it’s rounding a triumphal corner, winning the race easily by ten legs or more.
