Hamtunes Song of the Day: The xx - Islands

For two reasons.

1) I can’t get enough of this album

2) This band always gets shit for plays when I post them and that is unacceptable

Agreed. They are—I mean, are they really? Somewhat, but not really that—cheesy, but they are also undeniably catchy and cool-sounding. And really, what else are you looking for in music other than catchy and cool-sounding? There’s some sort of Venn diagram that has those two descriptors plus, like, “deep.” And depth is overrated.
