I still think this is a little fishy. Pre-sale tickets a year in advance? My theory? Malkmus is going to de in nine months, so he’s plotting with Livenation to rape indie fans when he dies before the show, like that Michael Jackson tour. Seriously, nothing about this seems weird to anyone else?

Dogs in Sweaters: Pre-Sale for the 2010 Pavement Reunion

I kind of see where you’re coming from. It would be another nice little indie twist of the normal rock formula (Cf., the Cobain Onion thing that’s fucking hilarious) wherein well-established, live smart/die old musician offs self well past prime.

But it is on the Matador blog.

A pre-sale a year in advance is quite odd. I hope it’s for real though because my head would positively explode.

I can’t believe I have to buy tickets to a concert more than a year in advance. I’m still going to do it, though.
