This “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten in a desperate state of hunger?” thread is destroying me.

This episode of Radiolab talked about the great American prison escape artist Christopher Daniel Gay, who was so poor growing up he and his little brother would eat notebook paper to stall their hunger pains. At the age of 11 years old, he and his brother made a murder suicide pact. Using their grandfather’s old rifle, first Christopher, then his brother, tried to kill the other before killing himself. Neither could pull the trigger.

No judgement! That’s just the first thing I thought of when I saw this, which is funny.
