If you know me, this is a pretty meta sort of reblog. But you know, I read a lot of shit out there, even if I don’t always address it publicly. (Or “publicly,” as it were.)

A lot of times, I see people viscously attacking my girlfriend. I see both men and women calling her out, and also saying ostensibly bad things about her. They say she’s just seeking attention or trying to become famous. They say that she’s mean. They say that she doesn’t listen to people. And those are just the nice bad things people say. The other things aren’t even really worth addressing with words.

The fact it seems to me is and please forgive me because I’m not speaking for anyone except myself is that she cares the most about the some of the most important things facing humanity, and she’s unwilling not to care and she’s unwilling not verbally commit her care on a daily, hourly, by-the-minute basis and to such an extent with such dedication that I’d be willing to make a personal guarantee that she works at it harder and cares more about it than you do about your mother/dog/alma mater/grandmother—whatever. And this is precisely the reason why she cares, this comment.
