“It may be weird to say about a band that won five Grammys, sold about 10 million records, and made its frontman richer than Harry Potter, but the White Stripes may be a little underrated. Before the high-brow mythology of Lady Gaga and the media domination of Kanye West, the unassuming duo from Michigan constructed a weirdly post-modern career and played a big part in saving rock and roll music.”

Nice work as usual, B (maybe even nicer work than usual, B.) What I always admired about the White Stripes is how they made such wonderful songs seem so simple. “Hardest Button To Button” is just dun-dun-dun-dun ad infinitum, but still very good.
