I continue to maintain my 75%-Joanna Newsom-related content standard. This chestnut. It cracks me up. It reminds me of how I should have applied to more schools than just Columbia. (Or at least taken the Columbia app a little seriously.) Life!
I’m going to think about this “metaphorically ‘only applied to Ivy League schools’” thing a bit more. I’m still working on coming up with 4k words on the album, but the metacommentary is obvs more fun than writing about the thing itself. (Is there a ding an sich?) I mean, am I supposed to type “It’s so goood” and then just fall asleep holding down the ‘d’ key?
