What if Joanna Newsom’s fourth album is four discs long and her fifth album is five disks long and her sixth album is…? Wouldn’t that be terrible but also awesome? Maybe she has a special brand of precocious obsessive compulsion that makes her make album disc numbers match up to their ordinality within her discography? That would be a review talking point.
