Honestly apropos of nothing, this sums up in practical terms what I’ve been beginning to suspect, lately: That the victory of existentialism has been essentially cored out and left as an aesthetic rather than a moral stance. And because existentialism hinges philosophically on morality, this popular moral forgetfulness has generally fouled up our lives much more than we’d like to admit or notice.
