I was originally not going to reblog this because (god, who cares why someone would or would not reblog something) I like a lot of the people involved with Grantland, and whatever. #media4->LIFE. However, this is a well-written hit piece, and I still have that anti-Simmons gene lounging around one of my helices.

Here’s a choice quote:

Creating a culture site when you essentially have no interest in an entire medium and celebrate your willful blindness to acclaimed work from other media means it can only operate if the intent is actually to be bad at it. In one sense, Jack Kevorkian is an incredibly flawed doctor, but if you approach him from a different frame of reference, he’s a specialist with an incomparable track record.

I don’t know anything about this blog or its author, but this critique of Bill Simmons and his new site touches on a lot of things about Simmons that I’ve never been able to express. Agree or disagree, really interesting stuff.
