Boston (or the concept of Boston) is what’s best and worst about sports and about America, in toto. It really does represent American exceptionalism, which is born from a sort of hard-working spirit that people would like to think just is what being American is all about. I usually dislike Boston for altogether no reason at all. But tonight—
