“When will misogynistic and homophobic ranting and raving result in meaningful repercussions in the entertainment industry? When will they be treated with the same seriousness as racist and anti-Semitic offenses? While an artist who can barely get a sentence fragment out without using homophobic slurs is celebrated on the cover of every magazine, blog and newspaper, I’m disheartened that any self-respecting human being could stand in support with a message so vile.”

Ok. This is the time of day when I trade in a 21” display and a reasonable input method for a 3” piece of glass. This post also breaks my three day public silence on OF, on a night when they’re playing my town, and I would have been there if I had thought to buy tickets.
I’m certainly not done thinking or talking about OF because they seem to be at the beginning or end of a cultural eruption, and that seems important. For now, I just wanted to post this tonight because it offers yet another perspective on Tyler, and an interesting one at that: Professional musician, female, and gay. It just seems worth reading.
