“I was standing on the subway platform yesterday listening to Goblin. Most of the people around me looked like tourists (hell, I’m practically a tourist here in New York), and it occurred to me that it was likely that no one on the platform had heard Odd Future let alone were likely to be listening to them at that moment. There was a bit of frisson in that experience. But, again, I think the outsider or coolness factor is only the umami of the experience; once you dig in deeper, you’re basically entering a discussion on whether you think women are worthless or not.”
