I’m loath to link deadspin, but Shoals’s essay was a good response to Drew’s weird, like UFC stack of pancakes bananas rant thing. As well, I’m reminded of an Ani Difranco line: ‘They criminalize the symptoms while they spread the disease.’ Yeah. Ani Difranco. I said it. I guess you could call me a f—t or something and try to wedgie me onto a gym locker or literally and with a straight face make a so-and-so slept with your mom joke.
