“Give It A Day”

I kind of agonized over it a bit. I thought of New Pornographers, Neil Young, Alanis, and even David Bowie (for some reason… ask me and I’ll tell you). But then I thought, hell, why not just post the whitest song you have to celebrate Canada Day. Which is not fair. (Hey First Nations folk, holler.)

On the other hand, this song is about Cotton Mather, who was known for his efforts to inoculate against smallpox and also for helping kill people in the Salem witch trials. I mean, it is an abrasively American song. So yeah. That’s my choice for Canada Day music. =|

I don’t know what it is I’m saying, exactly, but just listen to this song. It’s cool.
