Holy flaming fuck. I was just writing something about a Main Attrakionz song (“Young As Fuck Pt II”), and I may still hit publish on that. Having a hard time pulling it together. But moving on, Main Attrakionz fucking destroys. I’m still a little hazy on who everyone is here, but the overlapping projects of them, Squadda B specifically, and Green Ova generally are all, like, just the best. The best. These guys are releasing literally the best (or maybe second-best [No Shabazzmo] rap music this year. And the way they ‘beat’ Shabazz is that they’ve released like a million great albums on their Bandcamp. I’ve bought everything there, for a total of like $20 or $30, and it’s the best money I’ve spent in a long time.

Reading this interview with Squadda B on No Jumper I was shocked to learn he’s only 20. (I shouldn’t have been, since that’s a line in “Young As Fuck”.) (Dude’s also a real young dude, with everything that comes with that…) But, you know, any conversation that starts with Tyler, The Creator should end with Squadda B. He’s a good producer, and a sick rapper. I can’t wait for this show.
